ADDITIONAL SERVICES
        AXIS offers many services to both clients and employers that do not fall within the parameters of regular course work and seminar instruction. Many of these services are listed below.

TOEFL/TOEIC Classes
        AXIS offers preparatory classes for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL ® iBT) and the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC ). These classes are offered on a regular basis to assist clients in examination preparation.Information is also available on the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL), the Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainers (CanTest) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
        It is important to note that the successful completion of one of these examinations is a pre-requisite for many post secondary programs or for licensure in particular professions.
 
Credential Assessment/Prior Learning Assessment/Licensure Pathways
       AXIS provides services and support tointernationally educated newcomers who are entering the labour force and who are seeking information on the credential assessment process. As well, AXIS provides assistance in documenting information using a portfolio format should clients wish to challenge for creditor seek acknowledgement of foreign experience. Those seeking information regarding licensure for various regulatory professions can avail of the one-on-one counseling as well as group services available.

Post Secondary Information Seminars
      AXIS coordinates information with university and college admission departments regarding policies, assessments, student loan programs, etc. Clients can take advantage of Advanced English Preparation Seminars to assist in bridging the transition to post secondary studies.

Employer Liaison
        AXIS liaises with appropriate employers to facilitate job entry for newcomers through work placements and mentoring opportunities. The organization also maintains and updates its local employer-matching database to assist newcomers in facilitating entry to the labour market.

Community Liaison for IMGs and their Families (Pilot) 
       AXIS has expanded its service to provide community service outreach for the families of International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who plan to practice medicine in rural Newfoundland and Labrador. This initiative explores the needs of newly hired physicians and their families, develops networking services for the families and introduces the concept of Welcoming Communities.
