ARAISA Settlement Conference 2006
KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION - MAKING THE MOST OF WHO AND WHAT WE KNOW
Each year, the Atlantic Region Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (ARAISA) hosts a settlement conference in Atlantic Canada and provides an opportunity for Service Providers Organizations to share information on immigration issues in the region. This year, the conference was held in St.John's, Newfoundland and Labrador from September 19th to September 22nd.
The conference brought together delegates from the Atlantic region and an array of speakers from across Canada. Over the course of the three days, participants engaged in discussions on settlement delivery models, research priorities, federal and provincial immigration programs, as well as workshops designed to enhance skills and highlight promising practices.
We look forward to ARAISA 2007 in Halifax.
