ANC clients harvest potatoes, turnips, carrots, beets and broccoli on a half-acre lot of land which was donated to The Sisters of Mercy by a farmer in the Goulds. In turn, the Sisters have donated the use of the land to a number of non-profit groups. In exchange for 90% of the vegtables harvested, the ANC clients maintain the upkeep of the land (The remaining vegtables go to the farmer as a thank you). At the end of the growing season, the group is hoping to have a large cook-up using the vegetables harvested.
