Cultural Profiles - The Association for New Canadians has a variety of cultural profiles that individuals and groups in the community can access. Each cultural profile provides a general overview of life and customs in the profiled country. This is an excellent source of information for volunteers, students, teachers, community groups, or anyone who has an interest in learning about other countries and cultures. These resources were developed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada in association with the AMNI Centre at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Cultural Profiles are also available on-line at www.settlement.org/culturalprofiles.

Information and Consultation services are available for the community in order to facilitate newcomer inclusion and integration.

Interpretation and Translation Services - The Association maintains a list of interpreters and translators who may be available to provide interpretation and translation services. Anyone interested in registering themselves in the Association's confidential Interpreter and Translator Database are invited to see the link for Interpreters and Translators on this website. All languages are welcome!

Information about various cultures - One good source of information is The Cultural Profiles Project, which is available at www.settlement.org/cp/index.html.

Volunteer Opportunities (see "For Volunteers")
